Apples are delicious on their own, but they also make amazing vehicles for fun toppings! Here are some of my favorite apple “toast” combos 🍎
I like using rice cakes as well for a similar snack, but apples (and sweet potatoes) are a great option if you’re avoiding grains – i.e. following a Paleo or Whole 30 diet plan.
I used almond butter here, but you can use your favorite seed/nut butter.

These are also just some ideas for toppings that I think are fun and add good texture:
- Raisins, or any dried fruit
- Shredded coconut and cacao nibs
- Sliced or chopped nuts and honey
- Cinnamon, or other warm spices
