Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus

Whether you add it to a sweet or savory dish, bacon just seems to make everything better. Just bunch up the asparagus, wrap it in the bacon, and bake. The bacon gets crispy and the whole recipe only takes about 5 minutes of prep time!

Serve as a fun side with steak or any other protein.

Recipe makes 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of asparagus

  • 6-8 pieces of bacon

  • Olive oil

  • Black pepper

Directions

  1. Set the oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (not necessary, but makes clean up easier), then place a metal cooling rack on top of the paper.

  2. Clean the asparagus and snap off the fibrous ends of them.

  3. Make bunches of 3 and wrap a piece of bacon around each bunch with minimal overlap. brush a little olive oil on the asparagus. Sprinkle a little black pepper on the bunches.

  4. Place the bunches on the metal rack and bake for 20-25 minutes or until bacon is crispy.
