Charcuterie Board

I’ve always said I don’t know how to paint or draw, so I like to use food as my art medium. Charcuterie boards are really fun for me because the board is like a blank canvas - all you have to do is add beautiful and colorful foods!

I list what I used in the ingredients, but you’re welcome to use anything you want! Just pick some veggies, fruit, crackers, cheese, etc. You can also add some nuts or any other little appetizer treats. I think I’ll add hummus to my next one!

For how easy it is to make, people really love both how it looks and of course the taste!

Ingredients

  • Strawberries

  • Raspberries

  • Grapes

  • Blackberries

  • Cucumber

  • Grape tomatoes

  • Olives

  • Brie (drizzled with honey, almonds)

  • Cheddar, sliced

  • Fig spread

  • 3 types of crackers

  • Salami, folded

  • Prosciutto, folded

Directions

  1. Get creative and arrange! I like to start with the crackers and lay them out on different parts of the platter.

  2. I then added the cheese on opposite sides - the key is to think about colors, you wouldn’t put all brown foods in one spot or all red ones in another (for example).

  3. Then just arrange the rest how you see fit. I suggest finishing with the items that don’t have to be folded in a particular way (i.e. fruit) and pile them in the empty spots.
