Honey Sesame Shrimp

🦐 You’ve been asking for this honey sesame shrimp recipe, and it’s finally here!

It’s full of flavor and ridiculously easy to make - A one-pan meal where the shrimp soaks in the flavors of a 3-ingredient marinade, which then becomes a delicious sauce!

Use a little more honey if you like it sweeter, but I found it to be perfectly delicious with just 2 tablespoons.

I served it over my coconut rice (simple and so yummy) with a side of sliced zucchini just roasted with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Recipe makes 4 servings

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 2-3 tbsp honey

  • ¼ cup tamari

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

shrimp

  • 1 ½ lb. shrimp, deveined (I use tail-off), thawed if frozen

  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil

  • Garnish: Sesame seeds

Directions

  1. Mix all marinade ingredients together in a bowl. Toss the shrimp in the mixture and let marinade in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, tossing a few times to coat again as it sits.

  2. After the shrimp has marinated: Add the sesame oil to a large skillet and heat on medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp and cook until just cooked through. Remove the shrimp to a plate, leaving the sauce in the pan.

  3. Continue to simmer the sauce, stirring and scraping the bottom of the pan, until thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon (about 3-4 minutes).

  4. Add the shrimp back to the pan and toss to coat it in the sauce. Sprinkle with sesame seeds to garnish. Enjoy!

  5. I recommend serving it on top of coconut rice and with a side of zucchini or shallot green beans.
