Spicy & Smoky Baked Sweet Potato Fries

For all my sweet potato-lovers, these are my absolute favorite! Smoky, sweet, and a little spicy. The perfect side to some veggies & a protein for a balanced and healthy dinner!

These would also be great in the air-fryer if you have one and want to make them even more crispy!

Recipe makes 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme

  • ½ teaspoon chipotle powder

  • ½ teaspoon chili powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

  • 2 lb. (2 medium) sweet potatoes

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

  1. Combine the dry seasoning in a bowl and set aside.

  2. Preheat the oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. Wash and peel the sweet potatoes, then cut into fries (about ¼-½” thick).

  4. Place the fries on the baking sheet and coat with olive oil, then sprinkle with the seasoning and toss to coat evenly. Spread out fries on the sheet and try to avoid overlap so they come out crispier.

  5. Bake for about 1 hour, using a spatula to toss them every 15 minutes to allow them to cook evenly.

  6. Serve them warm with ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce!
