Tahini Banana Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are one of my favorite easy breakfasts because they’re so versatile! This recipe is naturally sweetened with banana and the tahini gives it a delicious nutty taste.

Throw some fresh banana, cacao nibs, more tahini, and (optional) maple syrup on top for an additional pack of flavor and crunch!

Recipe makes 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk (any)

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • 1/2 over-ripe banana

  • 1 tbsp (15g) tahini

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1/2 cup (40g) old fashioned rolled oats, dry

  • 1 tbsp (12g) chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

  • Toppings:

    • 1 tbsp tahini

    • 1 tsp maple syrup

    • Sesame seeds

    • Sliced banana

    • Cacao nibs

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine milk, protein powder, banana, tahini, and salt. Blend until smooth.

  2. Place the oats, chia seeds, and sesame seeds in a jar and shake or mix to combine.

  3. Add the liquid mixture to the jar of dry ingredients and stir with a spoon. Stir every minute or so for about 5 minutes (dry ingredients will settle at the bottom until they soak up some of the liquid), then refrigerate for a few hours to overnight.

  4. When you’re ready to eat, mix the tahini and maple syrup together - to keep free of added sugar, just use tahini. Drizzle on top and add some sliced banana, sesame seeds, and cacao nibs.
