Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie Bowl

Happy New Year!! If you need a little burst of nourishment after new year celebrations, this smoothie bowl full of anti-inflammatory goodies!

Have it for a high-protein and balanced breakfast or post-workout snack to refuel and rehydrate after sweating.

Recipe makes 1 bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana, sliced

  • ¼ frozen avocado, sliced

  • ½ cup frozen mango, diced

  • ½ cup carrot, sliced

  • 1” fresh ginger, sliced

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 pinch black pepper

  • ½ cup milk (any kind)

  • Optional: 1 scoop protein powder

  • Toppings: chia seeds, cocoa nibs, walnuts, shredded coconut, banana

Directions

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a food processor or very strong blender. Add a little more milk at a time if needed - just enough to get the blender moving.

  2. Blend until it is smooth and thick/creamy. 

  3. Pour it into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
