Coffee Dry Rub

One of our summertime favorites! We tried this rub on a brisket and pork shoulder and never looked back - It’s our go-to pretty much any time we use our smoker.

It’s spicy, smoky, sweet, and just adds SO much good flavor. I hope you enjoy and let us know in the comments how you used it!

Recipe makes enough for a generously-seasoned 5 lb. brisket

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 1 ½ tbsp salt

  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp onion powder

  • 1 tbsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp ground coffee

  • ½ tbsp chili powder

  • ½ tbsp ground mustard

  • ½ tsp cayenne

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients.

  2. Season generously on all sides of meat before smoking or grilling.
