Honey Peanut Butter
There’s just something about homemade nut butter!
This one is really easy and has only 2 ingredients, plus a little salt. That’s it! No oils or preservatives, just simple ingredients and so delicious. Swap the honey for maple syrup if you need it to be vegan-friendly.
Add it to smoothies, smoothie bowls, oats, yogurt bowls, toast with fresh fruit… Pretty much anything! And if you want to try all the homemade nut spreads - check out my drippy AB recipe and healthy chocolate hazelnut spread
Recipe makes ~1 ½ cups
Ingredients
4 cups raw peanuts
2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
½ tsp salt
Directions
Heat your oven to 400F. Place your raw peanuts on a baking sheet and roast for 12-15 minutes or until fragrant and toasted.
Remove the peanuts from the oven and let cool completely.
Place the peanuts, honey, and salt in a food processor and blend. I usually let mine go for about 8-10 minutes, scraping down the sides once or twice in that time, as needed. If your food processor gets too hot, turn it off and let it cool for a few minutes.
Taste it and add more salt or honey if you want.
Store in an air-tight container or jar at room temperature.
